“On Sacred Ground” is a cooperative project of the Wyoming Conservation Voters Education Fund and the Wyoming Association of Churches.

We are working together to help people of faith and conservationists in Wyoming find projects to collaborate on, such as energy conservation in church buildings, habitat stewardship, promotion of local economic sustainability, and many other examples.

After a groundbreaking planning retreat in April 2007 involving 15 conservation group leaders and 15 congregations and jurisdictional bodies from the religious community, our organizations established a program which began with a three-day conference in Lander, Wyo., in September 2007.

We are now setting up local interest groups around the state to carry forward a number of special projects and to evaluate potential future conferences and events.
